BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors priding ourselves of our reputation for excellence and attention to detail.
Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites - as a Catering Service Engineer, you would be expected to perform various reactive and preventative, trade-related duties listed below to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed its contractual obligations with its clients across multiple estates of varying ages and building types.
Position
The role of our Catering Service Engineer centres on maintaining catering assets to a high operational standard, ensuring all equipment is serviced, safe, compliant with legislation, and used correctly. It involves monitoring asset condition to support timely replacement planning and minimise downtime, as well as sourcing costeffective spare parts and identifying opportunities to introduce improved alternatives. The job also requires advising on misuse when equipment isn't utilised properly and staying informed about new or updated catering equipment through research and manufacturer training.

To carry out installation and maintenance of relevant trade in domestic and commercial buildings
General Plumbing, Electrical, Gas and Refrigeration duties, repair works and minor instillations of all catering equipment.
To work with line manager and provide advice and information relating to any technical matters.
Be commercially aware and be responsible for ordering required materials from suppliers in an efficient manner, following the company's purchasing procedures.
To supervise, direct and positively motivate junior staff and/or apprentices who may be appointed to assist and support the wider performance of this role.

CCN1 (or COCDN1), COCN1 (or CODNCO1), CIGA1, CDGA1LL
COMCAT 1 - 5
Level 3 Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ)
