Experienced Catering Supervisor – School Kitchens
Location: Abercrombie Primary School, Higher Albert Street, Chesterfield, S41 7QE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Catering professional to lead our kitchen team.
About the Role
As Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- The day-to-day management of the kitchen, including:
- Food preparation and cooking
- Serving meals
- Performing clerical duties via a digital management system
- Ensuring adherence to food hygiene and health & safety regulations, as this is our top priority
- Fostering an environment that delivers positive lunch experiences for our customers (pupils and staff)
- Maintaining an attitude appropriate for a school setting and working closely with schools to ensure a luxurious, nutritious and reliable catering service

Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally, hold the NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines
- Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2)
- Background in school catering is advantageous
