Catering Supervisor - Asda

Catering Supervisor – Part-Time Role (16 Hours Per Week)

We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences and providing world-class customer service. This Confidential role involves overseeing Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations at a leading High Street brand on a part-time basis.

As the Catering Supervisor, your responsibilities will include ensuring smooth operations in both kitchens and service counters while maintaining the highest standards in food quality and service excellence. Working with Asda, you’ll have a unique opportunity to progress your catering career while contributing to a company that values people, celebrates individuality, and recognises those who go above and beyond.


About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced professional who can make a real difference in food service innovation and team management, while representing Compass Group UK&I in the best possible light.


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and preparing delicious food to the highest, consistent standards
  • Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure exceptional quality in both food production and customer service
  • Regularly communicating with line managers to track KPIs and performance targets
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for Compass Group UK&I while maintaining a positive relationship with customers
  • Ensuring smooth liaison between customers and service teams to exceed expectations
  • Supporting team development and training, leading by example to enhance performance
  • Implementing and reviewing health and safety compliance across all catering and service operations

Ideal Candidate Profile

Requirements & Experience

  • A deep passion for good food and exceptional service
  • At least 2 years’ experience in catering operations
  • Team management experience, preferably in a similar role
  • A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to delegate effectively
  • An ambitious, motivated individual who proactively seeks opportunities to upskill
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced dining environment
