Chef – Pod Manager (Saturday & Sunday Shift)

Caterlink is the education sector catering specialist. For over 20 years, the Company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, and Colleges across the UK. The company caters for over 1,000,000 meals a week.

Job Description
We are looking for a Chef to manage a pod on Saturday and Sunday at a secondary school in Bolton.
The Role
- Pay: £15.00 per hour
- Hours: 12 hours per week, working Saturday & Sunday
Key Responsibilities
The role involves ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. Your core duties include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet Caterlink’s and the client’s required standards.
- Upholding all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures, including completing mandatory paperwork accurately and with integrity.
- Enhancing Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service by consistently exceeding the expectations of clients and customers.
- Supporting your line manager in the day-to-day operations of the location, including:
- Managing inventories
- Monitoring budgets
- Implementing action plans

Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cooking (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food industry
