Chef – Pod Manager (Saturday & Sunday Shift)

Job Description

We are looking for a Chef to manage a pod on Saturday and Sunday at a secondary school in Bolton.


The Role

  • Pay: £15.00 per hour
  • Hours: 12 hours per week, working Saturday & Sunday

Key Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. Your core duties include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet Caterlink’s and the client’s required standards.
  • Upholding all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures, including completing mandatory paperwork accurately and with integrity.
  • Enhancing Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service by consistently exceeding the expectations of clients and customers.
  • Supporting your line manager in the day-to-day operations of the location, including:
    • Managing inventories
    • Monitoring budgets
    • Implementing action plans

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cooking (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food industry
