Job Opportunity: Chef Manager at St Christopher's Primary School

For over 20 years, the company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, and Colleges across the UK. We serve over 1,000,000 meals per week through our "Fresh Food Policy" and a commitment to fulfilling promises to clients while nurturing our site-based teams.


About the Role

We are seeking a Chef Manager for St Christopher’s Primary School, Red Lodge. Ideal for individuals passionate about offering nutritionally balanced and delicious meals to future generations. This term-time-only, Monday–Friday role offers no weekend work, providing flexibility for a strong work-life balance.

Pay & Hours

  • £14 per hour
  • 30 hours per week
  • 38 weeks per year (term-time only)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to Caterlink and client standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company Health & Safety, Food Safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance Caterlink’s reputation for exceptional food and service by exceeding client expectations.
  • Oversee daily operations, including:
    • Managing inventories and budgets.
    • Implementing action plans.
    • Supervising teams (cooks, assistants).
  • Act as the primary contact for the school, driving continuous improvement and adjustments.
  • Monitor KPIs and financial targets in collaboration with management.
  • Train and develop staff, ensuring performance excellence and completion of all training requirements.
