The Role: Chef Manager
Location: Telford College Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (£15/hour) Contract: 52-week term-time Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
We’re seeking a dedicated Chef Manager passionate about delivering nutritionally balanced and tasty meals to students—while leading, inspiring, and developing your team to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Standards & Compliance:
- Prepare, cook, and serve food to Caterlink and client standards
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain high-quality nutritional and presentations standards

Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, budget monitoring, and action planning
- Supervise and mentor staff to train, support, and elevate performance

Client Relationships:
- Act as the main point of contact for the school’s management team
- Drive continuous improvement, implementing feedback and adjusting services as needed

Performance & Development:
- Track KPIs and financial targets with your line manager
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture where every team member thrives
