Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist – Face to Face

Contract Type & Hours Permanent | Part-time (minimum 2 days per week)

The Role
The Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist will provide high-quality, safe, and evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with discretion and empathy for clients navigating mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality CBT or brief psychosocial interventions with measurable clinical outcomes.
- Conduct compassionate, thorough assessments and evidence-based formulations to guide care plans.
- Offer adaptable service models:
- Face-to-face (inpatient clinic, telehealth)
- Telephone or videoconference (as client-preferred)
- Case management coordination with Clinical Leads and therapy teams to ensure care consistency.
- Respect sational limits aligned with the client’s insurance policies while supporting progress toward therapeutic goals.
- Provide referrals, ad-hoc support, or psychoeducation as needed, including virtual group sessions or workshops.
- Attend mandatory supervisions (individual and group) to uphold standards of practice.
- Collaborate on operational and clinical improvements impacting client/employee experiences.

Requirements
Essential
- Full accreditation with British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) – BABCP-accredited.
- At least 2 years’ experience, delivering high-intensity CBT interventions across diverse presenting issues.
- UK registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Desirable
- Additional qualifications in EMDR, dialectical behaviour therapy, or medical psychology.
- Corporate or commercial experience of scale.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership or training experience.
Technical & Interpersonal Proficiencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite & electronic health/medical record systems.
- Structured workload planning for 5 daily sessions during set time blocks (flexible shifts: 08:00–16:00 or 14:00–22:00 —with at least one late shift).
- Boundaries management:
- Remote & hybrid sessions must adhere to Bupa’s rules without exceeding contractual limits.
- Balancing client needs with utilization targets (consistent appointment availability).
- Clienteramership: Deliver solutions-oriented CBT with self-direction.
- Problem-solving for referrals, urgent situations, or stakeholder coordination.
Personal Characteristics
Strong communication (awareness of tone, engagement, de-escalation); Confidentiality; Culturally competent with neurodiverse clients; Sit for 5+ sessions daily; Adaptability to a team environment & self-signposting as needed.

Further Details
- Meeting Act/license standards: all therapies uphold provisions detailed by HCPC & Bupa.
- Remote Support: hybrid/virtual checks required if referrer supports telehealth or email exchanges.
- Permitted to work shifts between Broadgate clinic sessions only for agreement. Staying late is not optional but part of daily commitment.
