Job Description: CCTV Assistant
Location: Taunton Contract: Permanent, full-time Salary: Competitive plus benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Management:
- Set up, maintain, clean, and store drainage survey equipment and cameras.
- Conduct weekly asset checks on assigned equipment.
- Survey Support:
- Assist in manual handling to access drainage networks.
- Organise and prepare equipment for surveys.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Operate as part of confined space entry teams (varying roles).
- Adhere to PUWER/LOLER inspections weekly.
- Use workplace apps for reporting hazards, observations, and safety improvements.
- Ensure correct PPE for all tasks.
- Workplace Standards:
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace and vehicles.
- Implement tool control to prevent loss of equipment.
- Health & Wellbeing:
- Actively promote "Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe" culture.

About You
Essential Requirements
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills.
- Attendance: Punctuality and reliability in all work hours.
- Physical Fitness:
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting/moving loads within safe limits.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work early, evening, and night shifts.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Health & Safety Awareness:
- Valid UK driving licence.
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) protocols.

Desirable (Additional Strengths)
- Qualifications:
- Confined Space Entry (Medium)
- SLG (Unit 2)
- First Aid at Work
- Experience:
- Manual Handling / Working at Height / COSHH
- SHEA Water Hygiene
- PTS (Rail Access)
- Prior experience in asset or site surveying, especially drainage/mapping.
