Keeping people safe, connected, and secure 24/7
You’ll be part of a dedicated multi-storey housing team focused on creating safe, secure and thriving communities for residents. Working closely with colleagues across housing, IT, investment teams, and external partners such as the police, you’ll play a key role in transforming our high-rise buildings into smart, connected environments. This is a fast-paced, collaborative team where technology, customer service and community safety come together to improve the daily lives of residents.

What you will get to do
- Monitor CCTV systems across access points, communal and external areas, ensuring safety and security at all times
- Respond to incidents, emergencies and anti-social behaviour, recording and reporting accurately and ensuring appropriate services are contacted
- Manage access to buildings, supporting tenants and visitors while maintaining secure entry systems
- Provide excellent customer service to residents through communication systems and direct interaction
- Support the development of ‘smart buildings’, working with internal teams and contractors to implement new technology
- Work collaboratively to coordinate service requests, repairs, maintenance and cleaning with wider teams
- Use CCTV and technology proactively to deter anti-social behaviour and support investigations, including providing footage and statements
- Monitor alarm systems (including fire and access control), following correct procedures when activated
- Complete system checks to ensure CCTV and safety equipment are fully operational
- Produce reports and liaise with Local Housing Offices and other services
- Promote inclusion, equality and partnership working, including supporting joint working with agencies such as the police
- Work a shift-based rota covering 365 days per year, operating on a 6-week rolling rota, with working hours between:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 10:00pm
- Friday to Saturday: 8:00am midnight
- Sunday: 11:00am 8:00pm

Where technology meets community care
What You Will Bring
- A good standard of education or equivalent experience, including numeracy and literacy at Level 2 or above, and an SIA licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Hands-on CCTV and security awareness, including monitoring systems, reviewing incidents and understanding safety protocols
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, responding quickly and effectively in emergency or high-pressure situations
- Solid ICT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and multi-tasking across systems
- Good understanding of health & safety, equality & diversity, and working in an inclusive environment
- Effective time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the reliability to follow procedures and remain dependable in a shift-based role
