Job Overview
The purpose of this critical role is to:
- Assist with the day to day running of the CCTV systems, including downloading of footage when requested.
- Be the CCTV point of contact for the Trust, responsible for day to day operational requirements of the CCTV system, including functioning of servers and cameras as required.
- Liaise with the trust appointed security service provider and CCTV/Security contractors ensuring compliance with GDPR and relevant code of practice.
- Assist with the control and management of the initial response to incidents ensuring effective communication is maintained between internal and external partners for their duration.
- Use CCTV to assist in investigations on behalf of trust departments or other partners, ensuring data compliance is met to maintain integrity of investigations linked to staff and patient/public safety.
Main duties of the job
The Key Responsibilities And Duties Of The Job Are
- Maintain high standards of information governance with the storage, issue and disposal of CCTV data from the trust database.
- Liaise with the Clinical staff, Police, Legal and HR on sites with ongoing investigations and reports when required.
- Assist with investigations into security breaches and managing complex information security incidents.
- Ensure recordings are securely downloaded and stored in a secure area.
- Observe incidents and assist with statements or reports as necessary.
- To log CCTV equipment faults with the security/CCTV contractors.
- Maintain the CCTV download log tracking all live and archived investigations.
- Assist in feedback from incidents.
- Feedback to the trust legal/HR teams and assist with identifying trends and areas of concern.
- Liaise with local policing teams to assist with enquiries.
- Conduct communications with Legal/HR on enquiries.
- Attend meetings with the Compliance, Estates and wider trust as and when required.
- Responding to requests for CCTV footage.
- Contribute to a safe working environment adhering to Health and Safety and Trust Policies.
- Assist compliance and Estates teams as and when required.
- Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to the position.
