CCTV Drainage Engineer

We operate 24/7 and as such you are required to work flexible hours, weekends and participate in an on-call rota. Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our staff have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours

Salary: £30,500 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)

About the Role:

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.

  • Travelling to residential sites in a two person crew, in one of our custom-equipped fleet of high tech vans.
  • Survey the network of drainage systems
  • Assess pip conditions to produce high quality reports with the help of state of the art drain surveying equipment
  • Ensuring jobs attended are completed
  • Troubleshoot any problems that arise on the job
  • Liaise with the team of Technical Specialists in regards to access and equipment issues
  • Ensuring safe site set up
  • Updating the job notes on VISTEC
  • Ensure photos are being taken of the setup, inspection chamber and whole site
  • Delivering good customer service.
  • Maintaining good H&S practise while carrying out works.
  • Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
  • Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties, tasks or projects as requested by management.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of OS19X equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
