CCTV Intelligence Officer – Job Description
Salary & Contract
- Salary range: Grade 6 – £35,520 - £36,585 p.a. plus fantastic benefits
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Location: Croydon
About the Role
You will work as part of a 24/7 shift rota in the CCTV Control Room, performing the following key responsibilities:

CCTV & Crime Prevention
- Monitor screens to prevent and detect crime
- Provide proactive on-street surveillance to combat crime, disorder, and anti-social behaviour
- Task frontline officers and out-of-hours services via communication systems
- Record all calls and taskings on CRM (Customer Relationship Management system)

Police & Emergency Liaison
- Support the police via police radio communication
- Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls on behalf of the Council
- Issue statement copies and CCTV footage for court cases
- Act as a Disclosure Officer, reviewing digital evidence

Customer & Radio Support
- Assist council staff and businesses through radio systems
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage sensitive situations

Shift Pattern
The team operates a rolling 365-day roster, covering: 🕒 Early shifts 🕒 Late shifts 🌙 Night shifts 📅 Weekends & bank holidays
