MAN Commercial Protection are looking for CCTV Control Room Operators in one of the biggest control rooms in the UK, covering over 2,500 cameras around the West Midlands.
Shift Details
- Shift Pattern: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Shift Timings: 20:00 – 06:00
- Pay Rate: £13.23 per hour
Coverage Area
Focuses predominantly on West Midlands Transport, as well as towns and city centres in the region.
Role Overview
As a CCTV Control Room Operator, you will:
- Patrol cameras to monitor activity across the region
- Assist emergency services in live incidents
- Support the Police by searching and providing saved footage for investigations
- Act as an incident handler for local council Out of Hours issues, liaising with social services and public bodies
- Communicate via radio with local town hosts and businesses
- Handle emergency calls from the public through control room help points
- Update the public on events via social media
- Respond to email requests for footage and information
- Work closely with Highways England on traffic management issues
- Manage alarm calls across the West Midlands

Qualities & Requirements
Essential & Highly Preferred
- Valid CCTV Licence (mandatory)
- CCTV Security Arbitrator/Locksmith Badge (essential)
- Dual Badge Holder (advantageous)
Key Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- High literacy competency
- Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong phone manner and ability to handle customer calls effectively
- Team player mindset
- Polite and enthusiastic attitude

- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Full 5-year work/education history (checkable)
- SIA Security Licence (essential)
