CCTV Operator / Key Holder

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and motivated CCTV Operator / Key Holder to join our team.

As a CCTV Operator / Key Holder, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring CCTV systems, responding to incidents, communicating with clients and visitors, and following company procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Answer telephone calls from clients, visitors, and authorised personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record, log, and escalate incidents when required.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and daily records.
  • Carry out key holder duties, including responding to alarm activations and opening or securing premises where authorised.
  • Follow company CCTV operating procedures and security policies.
  • Work closely with colleagues, clients, and emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained during your duties.
  • Ensure all records are accurate, factual, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Report equipment faults or security concerns promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach.

Requirements

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous CCTV or security experience is desirable but not essential (training may be provided where appropriate).
  • Valid SIA CCTV BAdge.

All CCTV operations must be carried out in accordance with:

  • Company CCTV policies and procedures.
  • UK data protection legislation.
  • The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) guidance on the appropriate use of CCTV and surveillance systems.
  • Any client-specific instructions and site operating procedures.
