Job Description Due to increased workload and securing new clients Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for a Principal Consultant specialising as a Common Data Environment (CDE) Lead to join our team. Our team are recognised as global experts in the development and deployment of Information Management and Common Data Environments (CDE’s) on major projects and programmes, delivering client outcomes which mutually benefit the supply chain and add value to projects. We lead the Information Management process at organisational, programme and project level through: Discovery and understanding Client adoption strategy and strategic project setup Compliance checking and data verification Applying ISO 19650 principles to influence CDE setup and project delivery Leveraging expertise across a wide range of CDE tools for efficient and complaint Information Management Our specialist staff work globally, using cutting edge tools and techniques to deliver the vision of the world’s best clients. The Opportunity The individual will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team delivering and implementing Information Management from strategy level to project level for global clients. Key Responsibilities Complex Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to enable effective operation and drive adoption of the CDE. Engage with third party suppliers to align with wider enterprise systems architecture. CDE configuration: Lead the development, configuration and implementation of Common Data Environments aligned to client requirements and ISO 19650 best practice. This includes folder structures, metadata, workflows and access control. Change Control: Establish and manage CDE configuration processes that support robust change control and governance. Information Standards: Produce project or programme Information Standards, detailing the Information Management and CDE requirements. Reporting: Develop and deliver programme-wide reporting and analytics on CDE usage, with a focus on data accuracy, completeness and performance. Delivery: Oversee day-to-day management and operation of the CDE and drive continuous improvement through identifying opportunities to enhance the CDE capability. Provide line management and support to CDE Managers and Document Controllers. Training and guidance: Organise and undertake regular training sessions on the purpose and use of the system for new users and refresher training for existing users. Qualifications Desirable Skills & Experience Experienced Information Manager / CDE Specialist / Lead Document Controller of 5+ years Consultancy experience favourable but not required Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the context of Information Management and Document Control Understanding of ISO 19650 standards (particularly Part 2) and how it impacts Information Management and Document Control Experience developing Information Standards, BEPs, and AIR/EIR documentation Experience managing or mentoring CDE Managers / Document Controllers Administrator level experience using Autodesk Forma (previously Autodesk Construction Cloud) User level experience of at least one other CDE / EDMS or similar system. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Use of advanced optional CDE / EDMS features, e.g. e-procurement, ACC Take-off Personal skills The ability to work independently & be self-motivated The ability work in a diverse skilled team Clear communication skills to all project stakeholders Ability to lead project meetings Presentation skills Workshop skills Ability to lead and contribute to team meetings and discussions Inquisitive nature Methodical approach to delivering tasks Confident in challenging others. Qualifications Preferably educated to degree level or with sufficient demonstrable workplace experience to satisfy the requirements of the role.
