CDM Advisor
CDM Advisor – £400 Per Day
Location: Bicester (willing to travel to Hereford) Contractor: Gap Construction
Gap Construction are partnering with a specialist contractor to deliver the strip-out of a large machine facility in Hereford. Due to increasing workload demands, they are seeking an experienced CDM Advisor to ensure safe planning and execution of the project.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist project team on a major industrial scheme, providing expert CDM support from planning through to delivery.
Performance Objectives
- Provide expert CDM advice and support throughout design and construction phases.
- Assist duty holders in understanding and fulfilling their obligations under CDM 2015.
- Review and contribute to:
- Pre-construction information
- Construction phase documentation
- Identify, monitor, and advise on significant design and construction risks.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with:
- Legislation
- Company standards
- Attend:
- Design reviews
- Project meetings
- Safety workshops
- Liaise with project stakeholders to promote:
- Safe construction practices
- Effective risk management
- Support the preparation, review, and handover of the Health and Safety File.
- Encourage project-wide continuous improvement and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience as a CDM Advisor in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (preferred).
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Experience working on industrial facilities, automation plants, logistics centres, or similar large-scale projects (highly advantageous).
