Help shape safer projects before the first spade hits the ground!

Capita is making significant investments in health and safety capability, reinforcing our commitment to proactive risk management, regulatory compliance, and the wellbeing of our people. As part of this investment, we are expanding our CDM and Health & Safety capability and are seeking experienced professionals to help shape, strengthen, and influence safety performance across a diverse portfolio of projects, clients, and services throughout the UK.

We are looking for experienced CDM and Health & Safety professionals to play a key role in ensuring construction, maintenance, infrastructure, and refurbishment activities are delivered safely, legally, and effectively.

This is a fantastic opportunity for knowledgeable construction health and safety professionals who want to influence projects from concept through to completion, providing expert advice, challenge, and assurance across a diverse portfolio of high-risk and complex environments and services across Capita's delivery arm.

Working closely with project teams, clients, designers, contractors, and senior stakeholders, you'll help ensure that Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) requirements are embedded throughout the project lifecycle and that Principal Designer and Principal Contractor duties are effectively discharged.

  • Review key project documentation, including Pre-Construction Information (PCI), Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Design Risk Registers, Health & Safety Files, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  • Undertake audits, inspections, and assurance reviews across project and operational sites.
  • Challenge unsafe practices, poor design risk management, and non-compliant arrangements.
  • Support procurement, mobilisation, and contractor management activities.
  • Advise on contractor competence, risk management, and statutory compliance.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and awareness sessions to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to investigations, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative and industry developments, ensuring organisational compliance and best practice.
  • For senior opportunities, provide strategic advice to business leaders and senior stakeholders while helping shape and strengthen Health & Safety capability across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
