Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic Ceded Reinsurance Junior Analyst with around 3 years of experience to support design, placement, and administration of ceded reinsurance programs. This role involves close collaboration with Placement Officers, Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Analytics, Legal, Operations, broker teams, and reinsurers to drive:
- Portfolio optimisation
- Risk management
- Successful reinsurance renewals
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage large datasets, and a desire to grow within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, placement, and administration of ceded reinsurance programs
- Contribute to portfolio optimisation and risk management
- Assist with insurance renewals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Analyse and interpret large and complex datasets to generate insights
- Compile and maintain reinsurance submissions (e.g., proposal packs, renewal agendas)
- Monitor market trends, contract wordings, and policy compliance
- Prepare management information (MI) reports for stakeholders
- Work with brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers for comprehensive risk evaluation
- Participate in process improvements and automation projects
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Essential (Must-Haves)
✅ About 3 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, or London Market ✅ Experience with ceded reinsurance placements (treaty or facultative) or preference for candidates in London Market or specialty insurance industries ✅ Strong grasp of reinsurance markets, contract structures, and policy wordings ✅ Ability to prepare submission packs, renewal documentation, and MI reports ✅ Exposure to data systems tracking reinsurance placement and portfolio information ✅ Collaborated with brokers, underwriters, and cross-functional teams (e.g. Actuarial, Claims, Operations, and Analytics) ✅ Familiarity with process improvement or technology-driven projects ✅ Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Clean Power Queries
- Effective use of PivotTables
- Data analysis functions ✅ Progress towards a relevant insurance or risk management qualification is a bonus
