About the Role
Altrad are seeking a CE&I Control Systems Design Engineer to join the Silos MSSS SEP1&2 CE&I Design Team. This role will focus on delivering, supporting, and checking Programmable Electronic System (PES)-based control system designs that align with functional and business requirements. The implementation, testing, and commissioning of these designs are handled by dedicated site-based teams—this position will not cover those activities.
Key Deliverables
- Deliver and update PES-based control system designs in compliance with functional and business requirements
- Support other engineers in control system design activities
- Conduct independent checking and verification of PES-based control system designs
- Ensure designs adhere to engineering standards, company procedures, and project requirements
- Create and review control system design documentation from concept through to handover
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop cohesive solutions
- Provide CE&I engineering support to commissioning activities as needed
- Apply engineering best practice and quality assurance principles throughout the design lifecycle
- Contribute to achieving project objectives and milestones
- Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers

Key Requirements
- Minimum qualification: HNC in a relevant discipline (CE&I, Electrical, Electronic, or Control Systems)
- Professional qualification: Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status as a minimum
- Experience: At least 3 years delivering PES-based control system designs across multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Demonstrable expertise in designing control systems from concept through to handover
- Strong working knowledge of engineering standards applicable to PES-based control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clarity in technical documentation across disciplines
- Experience supporting commissioning activities
- Commitment to mentoring and developing early-career engineers
