All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.

Altrad are currently looking for a CE&I Control Systems Design Engineer to join the Silos MSSS SEP1&2 CE&I Design Team. The role will focus on delivering, supporting and checking Programmable Electronic System (PES) based control system designs and updates that meet functional and business requirements. The implementation, testing and commissioning of these designs are undertaken by dedicated site-based teams and are therefore outside the scope of this position.

Key Deliverables

  • Deliver PES-based control system designs and design updates in line with functional and business requirements.
  • Support other engineers in the delivery of control system design activities.
  • Undertake independent checking and verification of PES-based control system designs.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, company procedures and project requirements.
  • Produce and review control system design documentation from concept design through to handover.
  • Work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop coordinated engineering solutions.
  • Provide CE&I engineering support to commissioning activities as required.
  • Apply engineering best practice and quality assurance principles throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of project objectives and milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to early career engineers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
