Position: Cell Biologist

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $40 - $60/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 - 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments using mammalian cell culture and transfection techniques.
  • Isolate and establish clonal cell lines while monitoring cellular phenotypes.
  • Study cellular structure, organization, and functional mechanisms.
  • Assess and document sources of experimental variability across model systems.
  • Develop and optimize experimental protocols for reproducibility and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate biological insights into datasets.
  • Communicate scientific findings through clear written and verbal reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with mammalian cell culture techniques.
  • Proficiency in transfection methods and clonal isolation.
  • Strong understanding of experimental systems and biological variability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.
