£12.71 per hour, 32 hours per week across 4 days

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused individual to join our Bars team as a Cellar Person. Working behind the scenes, you'll keep our cellar running like clockwork, ensuring every pint, bottle and beverage served to our guests is in perfect condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place weekly orders with drink suppliers, taking stock levels, forecasted business and function sheets into account.
  • Take delivery of drink orders, checking items against delivery notes and storing them in line with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Clean and record beer lines weekly to maintain the quality of draught products.
  • Manage effective stock control and rotation to prevent wastage from out-of-date stock.
  • Issue stock to the hotel's bars, restaurants, function rooms, kitchen and housekeeping against valid requisition forms.
  • Take part in liquor stock counts, helping to achieve good results in line with budget.
  • Maintain the cellar ledger, logging all goods received and issued, and carry out weekly cellar counts.
  • Maintain the cellar and stores in line with Health & Safety legislation, including the safe storage of pressurised cylinders and chemicals.
  • Stay fully up to date with liquor licensing legislation, food safety and Health & Safety at Work requirements, including the Food Safety Act and COSHH.
  • Deliver consistently excellent customer service and attend training as required.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in a cellar, bar or stores role within hospitality or retail is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Good administration, cash handling and computer skills.
  • Strong understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to stock management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider bars team.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
