Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking and Capital Markets (IBCM) division provides comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services to large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial sponsors and public sector clients. The franchise combines Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and strategic advisory capabilities with one of the world’s leading Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Leveraged Finance platforms.

The CEEMEA Investment Banking team focuses on clients and transactions across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The team delivers cross-border advisory and financing solutions and works closely with sector, regional and product partners globally, providing exposure to complex, multi-dimensional transactions.

As an Associate within the CEEMEA Investment Banking team, you will play an important role in the origination and execution of advisory and capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on clients and opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the origination and execution of M&A, ECM, DCM and other strategic advisory transactions across Central and Eastern Europe and the broader CEEMEA region
  • Coordinating transaction processes and workstreams across clients, product teams, legal advisers and other external stakeholders
  • Preparing and reviewing financial models, valuation analyses, merger models and transaction-related materials
  • Developing high-quality client presentations, pitchbooks, strategic reviews and marketing materials
  • Conducting company, industry and market research and translating insights into actionable recommendations for clients
  • Working closely with senior bankers on client coverage initiatives and business development opportunities

Your Skills And Experience

  • Relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, M&A advisory, Capital Markets or a related field
  • Strong execution experience and understanding of transaction processes across advisory and capital markets products
  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
  • Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and senior stakeholders
