About Lesley Bloomfield

A major retail destination owned by Herbert Property (totaling 1,000,000 sqft of retail assets). Spanning c.31 acres, it houses 425,000 sqft of retail space with anchors such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco, plus Next, TK Maxx, JD Sports, Waterstones and five F&B units. Offering 1,600+ customer parking spaces, it is North Down’s largest retail concentration.


The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Centre Manager to steer Lesley Bloomfield into its next phase of growth. The role involves operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership to maintain its position as the premier retail destination in the catchment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategic Oversight

    • Head the Centre Management Team to achieve high operational standards, ensuring exceptional customer experience for stakeholders.
    • Report to the Director of Property Management (Savills) while collaborating with Centre ownership on strategic decision-making & performance updates.
    • Attend weekend and bank holiday duty rotations.
  • Customer Experience & Footfall

    • Drive footfall growth and retail sales opportunities across all tenants.
    • Implement innovative practices to position Lesley Bloomfield as ‘best in class’ in its catchment.

  • Tenant & Stakeholder Liaison

    • Collaborate with landlords, property teams, and contractors to achieve performance targets.
    • Ensure smooth contract compliance from third-party suppliers and maintenance standards.
  • Financial & Operational Management

    • Oversee annual service charge budget, track expenditure, and assist in year-end reconciliation.
    • Work with the marketing team to develop and refine strategies for maximising ROI on campaigns.
  • Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

    • Track footfall, sales data, and Centre performance metrics.
    • Present operational reports/updates as required.
    • Explore efficiency upgrades and adapt strategies to evolving market, legislative, and tenant demands.
  • Team & Service Leadership

    • Manage the Centre Management Team and suppliers for consolidated goal alignment.
    • Maintain high service standards across the Centre and extended supply chain.

Person Specification

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in Senior Commercial Property/Centre Management.
  • Strong team leadership skills, with a track record managing large-scale teams.
  • Industry-specific knowledge of Shopping Centre service charge operations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and financial management skills.
  • Influential, self-motivated, and decisive—with proven business acumen.
  • Ability to network effectively and engage at all levels.
  • Technical expertise in Property/Real Estate operations, with prior experience in retail, leisure, or sustainable property management.
  • Exposure to strategic PR/marketing and health & safety protocols.

Desirable

  • 5+ years of Centre Manager/Director-level retail park management.
  • Industry-recognised retail/tested Centre Management qualifications (or equivalent studies).
  • Experience managing ≥250,000 sqft of high-volume retail/leisure space.
  • Expertise in corporate responsibility and sustainability/circular economy practices.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., Chartered Surveyor, FCIOB, NCIOB, or similar).
  • Understanding of construction contracting and property maintenance.
  • P&L experience in a commercial or retail context.
