Chief Executive

Full-time | UK-wide | £90,000 - 110,000

Money Ready – formerly MyBnk – is one of the UK's leading financial education charities. For nearly twenty years we have been making a genuine difference to people's financial lives, working with children in primary schools, young adults navigating their first jobs and first tenancies, and adults facing some of the hardest financial moments of their lives. In 2024–25 we supported over 58,000 learners across all four nations of the UK.

The need for our work has never been more urgent. Only 40% of young people aged 16 to 24 feel confident managing their money, and poor financial literacy sits at the heart of homelessness, unemployment and declining mental health.

Our strategy, Money: A Language for Life, runs to 2030 and commits us to reaching people at the right life stage, to championing financial education as a right rather than a privilege, and to using our evidence and platform to create change well beyond our own programmes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Following our rebrand as Money Ready in 2025 and our merger with RedSTART Educate, we are in excellent shape for the future: financially stable, strategically clear, with a UK-wide team of more than 70 people and a turnover of £5m. The next chapter is about making the most of the foundations already in place.

Now's your opportunity to play a defining part as our new Chief Executive. We're looking for someone who can own and deliver our strategic vision, grow our income and influence, and be our most compelling external champion. Working closely with the Chair, the Board and the Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead with emotional intelligence, building a high-trust, high-performance culture in which our people, and the people we serve, can thrive.

You'll be assured, empowering and collaborative, with confident, mature and visible organisational leadership and a track record of skilled execution and delivery. Your management experience will be commensurate with our scale, and an understanding of our operating environment – including public procurement and commissioning models – would be a definite asset.

This could be your first Chief Executive role or your next. What matters most to us is not where you have come from, but what you believe – about financial education as a right, not a privilege, and about the kind of leader you want to be.
