Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bordon for a Certification and Testing Engineer. The role involves planning, executing, and documenting mechanical and safety tests on Kingsway Group products to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements. The Certification and Testing Engineer will collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to define test specifications, interpret results, and support product improvements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Maintaining test equipment
- Preparing test setups
- Recording and analyzing data
- Generating clear technical reports and certification documentation
The role also includes supporting external audits, working with third-party test houses, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and safety performance.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in product testing and certification, including experience with mechanical, safety, and performance testing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., building products, safety hardware, healthcare or custodial environments), and the ability to interpret and apply these in testing protocols.
- Competence in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to produce clear, accurate test documentation and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, validate design changes, and support product approvals.
- Proficiency with common engineering tools and software (e.g., MS Office, basic CAD familiarity, data logging tools) and safe operation of test rigs and laboratory equipment.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a degree, diploma, or apprenticeship in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or related discipline), or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple test programmes to deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to patient and staff safety in challenging environments.
