About the Role
We are looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our site in Cwmbran.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Consolidate, develop, and drive physical verification, validation, and compliance capabilities.
- Ensure device and system performance is robustly verified against internal and external requirements through virtual and physical tests.
- Support Certification projects at 3rd Party Notification Bodies, including testing and certification phases.
- Oversee documentation to ensure a right-first-time methodology, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Execute, with guidance from the lead compliance engineer, verification, validation, and certification work packages—including test rig commissioning at external test bodies and vendors.
- Follow the department’s standard practices, engineering reviews, and guidelines.
- Work closely with the R&D Engineering team to ensure compliance for new and legacy Fire Alarm devices and systems with internationally recognized standards.
- Take ownership of preparing applications and data packages for test agencies as required.
- Assist with external test houses during compliance testing to a range of standards.
- Help prepare for and participate in test agency audits.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and align pre-compliance test plans, test specifications, and schedules.
- Perform GAP analyses and facilitate impact assessments for compliance testing, distributing findings to project stakeholders.
- Support growth by learning emerging engineering practices, monitoring British/European Standards and Directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Requirements
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Skills
- Strong electronic and electrical engineering background.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and time management.
