We are looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our site at Cwmbran.
What You’ll Do
Compliance Engineer, to help to consolidate, develop, and drive physical verification, validation, and compliance capabilities. In this role you will ensure that device and system performance is robustly verified against internal and external requirements by the appropriate virtual and physical tests.
- This will involve supporting Certification projects at 3rd Party Notification bodies, during testing and the certification phases. Checking documentation to ensure a right 1st time methodology to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Execute, with guidance from lead compliance engineer, the required verification, validation, and certification work packages on time and within defined budgets. This to include the rig commissioning at test bodies and external vendors.
- Follow the departments standard practices, engineering reviews and guidelines.
- Work as part of the R&D Engineering team on new and legacy Fire Alarm devices and systems, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized standards.
- Takes ownership for achieving preparation of applications and data packages for the test agencies, as appropriate, to fulfil your responsibilities, successfully.
- Support 3rd party test houses with testing and verification of devices and systems, during compliance testing to a range of standards.
- Assists in preparation for and participation in test agency audits.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and establish alignment of pre-compliance test plans, test specifications, and schedules.
- Performs GAP analyses and facilitate impact assessments for compliance testing and distribute to project stakeholders.
- Supports growth through learning and understanding emerging engineering practices, monitoring British/European Standards, and Directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications
- HNC/HND - Degree in relevant engineering discipline
