CFD & CAD Expert — AI Evaluation & Quality Review

Mechanical Engineering Experi.e / CFD Specialist (Project-Based Role)

Final rate depends on location, qualifications, and experience

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering expert with advanced CAD and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience to support a leading AI lab, developing next-generation engineering AI models. In this project-based role, you will review, annotate, and evaluate highly technical engineering content, applying your domain expertise to ensure the accuracy and quality of datasets used for AI training.


Key Responsibilities

  • Annotate and review CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical diagrams
  • Evaluate mechanical engineering and CFD datasets for technical accuracy and consistency
  • Perform quality control (QC) on expert annotations, identifying engineering errors
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to refine evaluation guidelines and improve dataset quality

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a mechanical or CFD engineering role

Technical Skills

  • Strong CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo, Fusion 360, or similar)
  • Hands-on meshing experience with Gmsh or snappyHexMesh
  • Hands-on CFD simulation experience with OpenFOAM or SU2
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, assemblies, and mechanical systems

Field-Specific Expertise

  • Domain expertise in aerodynamics and/or aerospace engineering
  • Fluent in English (French is a strong plus)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FEM tools such as FEniCS or CalculiX
  • Additional expertise in any of:
    • Reacting flows
    • Solid mechanics / structural deformation
    • Fluid-structure interaction (FSI)
    • Heat transfer
    • Chemically reacting flows
    • Multiphase flows
