Role Description
The CFO, Director of Finance & Resources is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for leading the financial strategy and resource management of Italia Conti Arts Centre Limited. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing financial planning and budgeting, managing cash flow, monitoring financial performance, and preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports for senior leadership and the board. The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, optimizing financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The CFO will manage finance and resource teams, oversee relationships with external auditors and financial institutions, and contribute to long-term sustainability of the school’s operations and facilities. Collaboration with academic and administrative leaders to align financial priorities with the school’s artistic and educational goals is also a key responsibility.

Qualifications

- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Experience in financial reporting, including management reports, board reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations.
- Professional qualification in finance or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and resources in an organization, ideally within education, non-profit, or arts sectors.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and at board level.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices in financial and resource management.
