Bid Manager – Atos Group

As a Bid Manager, you will function as the project leader in bids, transforming opportunities into successful contracts.
Responsibilities
Bid Execution & Team Leadership
- Coordinate and structure the bid response process, managing a cross-functional team including:
- Financial architect
- Solution manager & architect
- Contract manager
- Risk manager
- Legal & compliance specialists
- Oversee the bid team from initial sales pursuit to transition/delivery handover.

Proposition Development
- Analyse customer needs and RFP requirements to develop tailored bid proposals.
- Ensure high-quality proposal documents and customer presentations.
- Participate in customer presentations and negotiations.
- Act as project leader for administrative sales processes, including:
- Managing bid budgets.
- Ensuring proposals adhere to process standards.
- Facilitating Rainbow review milestones (organising meetings, preparing documents, aligning stakeholders).
- Conducting Win workshops and win-loss review sessions.
Account Management & Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales/Business Development (e.g., Account Directors/Managers, CEPs, Business Developers) to:
- Identify high-value deals.
- Assist in deal prioritisation.
- Advise during pursuit review, particularly in bid qualification (risk assessment & feasibility).

Customer Service & Engagement
- Collaborate with client stakeholders throughout the bid process (e.g., responding to Q&As).
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 10–12 years of experience in Bid Management within a structured, competitive environment.
- Proven ability to convert sales opportunities into won contracts.
- Experience in managing a range of deals, from £5 million to £50+ million.
- Proficiency in deadline-driven environments.
- Certifications in Bid Management are an asset.
