Campbell Tickell is proud to be recruiting to the roles of Chair and Treasurer at Lake District Housing Association.
About the Organisation
Lake District Housing Association Ltd operates a small retirement community of 26 apartments in a beautiful setting on the shore of Lake Windermere at Calgarth Park, a Grade II listed Georgian villa. We are a not-for-profit company registered as a community benefit society, and we have a small Board of Trustees which helps to guide the strategy and direction of the organisation.
About the Roles
We are currently seeking two new independent Trustees to join our Board as Chair and Treasurer, to work alongside our resident Trustees to keep the organisation safe, sustainable and well-run. This is a period of change for our Board, and a program of transformation has already started, so you will be joining at a very interesting time. While considerable progress has already been achieved, there is much to do as we continue to professionalise our operations and we are really looking forward to our new Chair and Treasurer bringing their expertise to bear.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
