Chair of the Board of Trustees – The Triathlon Trust
About the Role
The Triathlon Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Chair of the Board of Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development.
Established to help more people experience the benefits of swim, bike, and run, particularly those who face barriers to participation, the Trust operates across England, Scotland, and Wales. It supports community-based activity, inclusive participation, and new opportunities for individuals who may otherwise lack access to sport.
This is a critical moment for the charity. The Trust is expanding its role as a national grant-giving organisation, building on existing place-based work and launching new initiatives, including the Pathway to Podium pilot programme, which will provide targeted support for emerging athletes seeking progression. The organisation is looking for a strategic, collaborative, and influential Chair who can help define and execute its future vision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
