Chair of the Board of Trustees

Location: London

Salary: Voluntary (expenses reimbursed)

Vacancy Type: 3 years, renewable

Time commitment: Approximately 2 days per month, including quarterly Board meetings and regular contact with the Executive Director

Closing Date: 3rd of August 2026

They are seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Chair of their Board of Trustees and help guide the organisation through its next phase of impact and development.

As Chair you will provide strategic leadership to the Board, ensuring that the organisation remains mission-driven, well-governed, and financially resilient. This is a pivotal role for someone who believes in the power of community-led change and who can bring clarity, confidence, and ambition to their governance.

As London faces an evolving and increasingly complex set of challenges, their work is more critical than ever. Their strategy is shaped by the evolving needs of Londoners and the unique scale of the city’s environmental, social, and economic issues, as well as its opportunities for regeneration and growth. They are operating in a city under pressure from growth and from continued reductions in public expenditure which have a significant impact on their communities, on local authorities and on other public and voluntary sector partners.

They work across the capital, partnering with residents, local authorities, businesses, and community organisations to improve local environments, support those facing disadvantage, and help London adapt to the challenges of climate change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
