Altair’s Transformation and Change practice works with clients in socially focused sectors to address their biggest challenges by combining strategic thinking, smart design, and a keen appreciation of complex systems and context. We diagnose issues, design solutions, and deliver change – supporting our clients to achieve impactful change for their people, customers, and wider stakeholders.
We are looking for a Change Analyst to join our consultancy team, supporting transformation projects across housing, local government, and other socially focused sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to work with purpose-led clients and colleagues to shape services that improve lives and communities.
About the role
As a Change Analyst, you’ll play an active role in the design, and delivery of transformation projects, primarily across the social housing and local government sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful change initiatives, helping organisations improve how they deliver services that matter.
Location: Homebased with travel to clients and offices
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £34-39k depending on experience
Key responsibilities
- Apply service design principles to improve how organisations deliver services
- Use a range of research methods and data analysis techniques to generate clear, evidence-based insights tailored to each project
- Lead key activities or smaller projects, delivering clear, high-quality reports and presentations. Collaborate with clients and support workshops and stakeholder engagement.
- Deliver high-quality work on time, support risk and issue management within projects, and proactively overcome challenges through initiative and independent working
- Support business growth by contributing to proposals and product development, while mentoring and collaborating with peers to strengthen our consultancy offer.

What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in change, transformation or continuous improvement roles
- Experience of working within the housing sector
- Experience in process mapping and / or workshop facilitation
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently while being a team player
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with service design or human-centred design approaches
- Experience in other public/social sectors
- Relevant qualification in business analysis, project management, or process improvement
