Combining subject matter expertise and a variety of business process and ERP modular experiences with automation and industry best practices - working together across implementation and support lines - we ensure that all changes, environments are managed, and release cycle upgrades that are taken into day-to-day operations are of the highest quality. 

The Change & Release Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT change, release and environment management processes to ensure minimal disruption to services and operations. This role works closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to plan, assess, and implement changes and releases to IT systems and infrastructure in a controlled and efficient manner.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Manage the team of Change & Release Analysts 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT change and release management policies, procedures, and best practices 

  • Monitor and report on change and release management metrics and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement 

  • Work with IT support and operations teams to ensure changes and releases are deployed successfully 

  • Communicate change and release plans, schedules, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders 

  • Ensure compliance with IT governance and security policies 

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are documented and applied 

  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality 

  • Monitor and manage release progress to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards 

  • Continually work to improve the release process through automation, tools, and standards 

  • Coordinate and communicate release details to stakeholders and executive leadership 

  • Ensure all compliance and audit requirements are met in relation to change and release management

To do this role well you will need:  

  • A strong background of working within Change and/or Release Management 

  • Excellent people management skills  

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and/or Workday products and services 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement  

  • First class communication skills 

  • Proven understanding of industry standards – both quality and technical 

  • Ideally possess Certification in ITIL Foundation and / or working knowledge of ITIL framework 

  • Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM environment 

  • Previous experience working in the public sector or Civil Service would be advantageous
