Change Communications Specialist – Yorkshire Housing

We are seeking a talented Change Communications Specialist to play a critical role in driving impactful, clear, and engaging communication for our transformation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Change Communications Specialist, your role involves:

  • Partnering with our Change and Communications teams to ensure colleagues feel informed, valued, and confident during transformation.
  • Simplifying complex ideas into engaging, clear, and actionable messages.
  • Day-to-day tasks include:
    • Creating and delivering internal comms and campaigns supporting change initiatives
    • Collaborating with teams across Yorkshire Housing to develop effective communication strategies
    • Producing content across multiple platforms—events, videos, blogs, and briefings
    • Assisting leaders in clear, confident communication with their teams
    • Building strong stakeholder relationships to secure business-wide support
    • Using feedback and analytics to continually refine communication approaches

This role is flexible, with homeworking as the default option. However, you’ll need to travel to our Hubs or Leeds workspace as required for team meetings, collaboration, and discussions best conducted in person.


Who Are We Looking For?

We seek a creative, organised, and influential professional with a strong background in change communications, capable of operating in fast-paced environments. Your prime role is:

  • To take complex ideas and convert them into engaging, easily understood messages that resonate with colleagues.

Ideal candidates possess:

  • Project experience in planning and delivering strategic change comms
  • A track record of driving colleague engagement during large-scale transformations
  • Confidence to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively
  • Creative flair in designing engaging campaigns and copywriting
  • Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple projects at pace
  • Knowledge and mastery of internal comms channels and best practices
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and serve as a trusted business partner
  • Strong communication skills and leadership presence
