Change Lead, M&A People Team

Change Lead, M&A People Team

Role Purpose

We’re seeking an experienced Change Lead, M&A People Team, to drive the successful integration of acquisitions within Jensten’s rapidly expanding insurance broker business. As a leading private equity-backed intermediary, growth is core to our strategy—combining organic expansion with acquisition activity to build a market-leading organisation that balances entrepreneurial spirit with scale and capability, delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.

This role sits within the Organisational Growth & Change function, focusing solely on the people aspects of mergers and acquisitions. You will lead cultural integration, consult with acquired businesses, and ensure seamless handover from inception to business-as-usual transition.

This is not just a delivery role—you must have the credibility to challenge senior leaders constructively, demonstrate empathy, and build trust rapidly with incoming businesses and their leaders as part of your integrated approach.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with acquisition and integration teams from deal inception to operational transition, ensuring people and culture are central to integration planning.
  • Identify people risks, organisational impacts, and cultural considerations through due diligence and integration planning.
  • Develop and execute practical, scalable transition plans to support successful merging of acquired businesses, both pre- and post-acquisition.
  • Lead structured employee consultation and communication activities, collaborating with People and Legal teams to ensure legally compliant processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with acquired business leadership and teams to align on our values, culture, and ways of working.
  • Preserve existing strengths of acquired businesses while embedding Jensten’s culture, ** Supporting staff retention and engagement** during transition.
  • Monitor engagement and integration health, identifying areas for improvement in leadership or operational alignment.
  • Provide objective insight, challenge, and recommendations on people-related risks and growth opportunities.
  • Report progress on integration readiness and outcomes to senior governance forums.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
