PPM Change Manager

Location: Wokingham, preference for 5 days per week onsite, flexibility for 2–3 days per week considered
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Rate: £470 per day Inside IR35
Duration: 6 to 12 months initially

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced PPM Change Manager to lead the people, process, and adoption aspects of a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) transformation initiative. The successful candidate will drive change management activities associated with the implementation and integration of enterprise PPM platforms, ensuring successful stakeholder engagement, user adoption, and business readiness across the organisation.

This role requires a strong blend of change leadership, stakeholder management, communications, training, and portfolio management experience within complex transformation environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver structured change management strategies, plans, and roadmaps.
  • Assess change impacts across processes, teams, governance, and operating models.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and delivery teams.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and sponsor alignment to support successful adoption.
  • Create and execute communication and training plans to improve user readiness and engagement.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate resistance to change across impacted business areas.
  • Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and change forums to support organisational readiness.
  • Define and track adoption metrics, user proficiency, and change success measures.
  • Support the implementation, rollout, and integration of enterprise PPM platforms.
  • Produce executive reporting on change progress, adoption levels, risks, and outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with at least one PPM tool: Planview, Planisware or Primavera
  • Proven experience delivering change management within large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
  • Experience supporting PPM platform implementations or enhancements.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training, coaching, and user adoption activities.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, PMO governance, and project delivery environments.
  • Experience managing organisational readiness, change impacts, and resistance management.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on measurable outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with VERTO, ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, or similar PPM tools.
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks such as Prosci or ADKAR.
  • Experience working within complex, cross-functional enterprise environments.
