Changeover Host
CONTRACT - Pay per task
The Lumen Room is dedicated to providing a clean space for our guests. In order to ensure our spaces meet our standard of cleanliness, The Lumen Room leaves a minimum of 15 minutes between each reservation. We call the time between reservations “changeover time”. During this time a Changeover Host will tidy and clean the space before the next guest arrives. Changeover hosts will also refill out of stock items, meet service providers, etc. Changeover Hosts work on days they are available to be on “on-call” to cover all of the changeovers for the day. Some days have one changeover, others might have eight or more. Every day is different! Thus, this position is ideal for freelancers, photographers, or those who work from home with a flexible schedule. And though they have no obligation to stay, Changeover Hosts have the ability to work on personal projects out of a small office or loft in the space.

Essential Functions
- Make sure spaces are clean between reservations.
- Keep things running smoothly at The Lumen Room during 15-minute changeover windows, making sure guests do not go over their reservation times.
- Greet guests upon their arrival and familiarize them with the space.
Requirements
- Flexible schedule
- Capacity to lift/push heavy objects (chairs, desks, couches)
- Commitment to being “on-call” on days you are responsible for changeovers.
- Ability to work with guests while embodying The Lumen Room values and hospitality.
- Ability to interact with clients when greeting incoming guests and familiarizing them with the space.

Responsibilities
- Arrive at The Lumen Room at the end of each guest’s reservation
- Transition guests out of the space if running over their reservation times
- Clean and tidy the space within the 15-minute changeover time
- Move furniture
- Sweep, vacuum, Swiffer, remove trash, clean surfaces
- Keep bathrooms fully stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper
- Monthly meetings to discuss guest experience.
