About the Role
Fortra is committed to accelerating the growth of our partner ecosystem, and partner recruitment is a critical component of our expansion strategy. As Channel Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and developing new strategic partners across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics, while also managing and growing an existing network of distributors, VARs, system integrators (SIs), MSSPs, and other channel partners.
You will play a key role in expanding Fortra's presence across Data Security, File Integrity Monitoring, Email Security, Offensive Security, and other cybersecurity solutions by building a high-performing partner ecosystem capable of driving sustainable growth. Success in this role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong channel development skills, and the ability to leverage existing industry relationships to identify and secure high-value partnerships. Particular focus will be placed on developing relationships within the UK defence and military cybersecurity ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of this market, along with established connections across leading VARs, systems integrators, and strategic partners supporting defence, government, and national security organizations. These relationships will be instrumental in accelerating partner recruitment, expanding market reach, and uncovering new growth opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
