Seasalt

Seasalt began in 1981 with a small shop in Penzance, selling workwear to local mariners and practical overalls to artists. Today, we’ve grown into a thriving omnichannel retailer with over 80 UK and Ireland stores, 400+ wholesale stockists, and a growing international and online footprint.

As a B Corp and winner of both Drapers “Best Place to Work” and CIPD’s “Best Recognition Programme”, we care deeply about our people, our communities and our long-term impact. Our Head Office teams provide the foundations that empower our people to drive sustainable growth across the UK and international markets.

Role Overview

As a Channel Merchandiser, you'll support in-season trading and stock management activities, ensuring the right products are available in the right place at the right time. You'll use your analytical skills to forecast sales, stock levels, markdowns and margins, helping to maximise profitability while supporting business stock management. Working closely with merchandising, logistics, wholesale and wider commercial teams, you'll provide valuable insights, identify opportunities and risks, and help shape trading decisions through reporting and analysis.

As a subject matter expert for your channels, you'll build strong relationships across the business, ensuring forecasts are accurate, stock flows efficiently and performance is continually optimised. You'll also have the opportunity to support and develop others within the merchandising team, sharing best practice and helping to create a collaborative, high-performing environment.

This is a full-time, temporary role to cover family leave, expected to last approximately 12 months. This role is based remotely within the UK, with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing stock allocation and distribution to maximise sales and product performance across assigned channels.
  • Monitoring channel stock levels and recommending changes to allocation plans to optimise sales, margin and availability.
  • Taking ownership of WSSI sales, markdown, POS and margin forecasting for specific channels to help inform stock management and trading decisions.
  • Acting as the key merchandising contact for distribution centre and logistics teams, monitoring the stock flowing through the DC and other 3rd party DCs.
  • Reviewing product performance and identifying trading risks and opportunities through regular analysis.
  • Producing reporting and insight to support commercial trading decisions and stock management strategies.
  • Managing replenishment activities to deliver the most profitable sales opportunities.
  • Supporting wholesale planning and forecasting, ensuring plans reflect the latest business performance and outlook.
  • Building strong relationships across merchandising, wholesale, logistics and commercial teams to drive collaborative decision-making.
  • Supporting the development of team members through positive and energised leadership, recognition and identifying training needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
