Charge Nurse Role at HC-One

About the Role

What drove you to become a nurse?

Did kindness drive you, the chance to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives? Were you motivated by a love of learning and the opportunity to collaborate in a dynamic field shaped by constant evolution?

At HC One, the Kind Care Company, we offer careers where kindness is both valued and rewarded. Whether you’re at the very start of your path or have years of registered nurse experience, joining our care teams can be deeply fulfilling.

This role embodies the very essence of nursing—empowering you to build meaningful, lasting relationships with residents and their families in a caring home environment.

We seek kind, dedicated nurses to join our teams nationwide. You’ll enjoy honest pay progression tied to your experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

About You

As a Charge Nurse at HC-One, you’ll have responsibility for:

  • Overseeing the daily care of residents in your designated care home area
  • Assuming operational management when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent
  • Ensuring all care tasks—from follow-up visits after health concerns, medicine administration, to medical record-keeping—are performed with resident wellbeing as the priority
  • Maintaining legal and statutory compliance throughout.

Requirements:

✔ Must be a Registered Nurse (UKNMC) ✔ At least 12 months’ experience in Health or Social Care ✔ Current and valid Pin Number ✔ Attendance at mandatory safeguarding training (role-specific) ✔ Commitment to professional standards as set by the NMC ✔ A passion for mentoring and sharing expertise with colleagues, including trainee assessor duties

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
