What You’ll Do
Lead the ward team in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and support patients, families and carers through complex or sensitive situations.
- Coordinate staffing, workload and resources to maintain safe service delivery.
- Support staff development through supervision, teaching, mentorship and appraisal.
- Drive quality improvement through clinical audit, research activity and best-practice implementation.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated care.
About You
- NMC-registered nurse with substantial post-registration experience.
- Confident in delivering advanced clinical care and supporting others to do the same.
- Strong communicator with the ability to lead, motivate and guide a team.
- Skilled in managing challenging situations, prioritising workload and making autonomous decisions.
- Committed to professional development, evidence-based practice and high standards of patient care.
