About the Role
Psychiatry of Old Age Services are looking for an organised individual with a desire to lead and who is keen to be part of developing an innovative and forward-looking service. You will need to be passionate about the care of the older adult with mental health needs, hold excellent communication skills, and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide person-centred nursing.
Responsibilities
As a Charge Nurse, you will exhibit strong leadership and management skills and will influence and develop practice. You will support the Senior Charge Nurse and the nursing team in developing QI work in a Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient setting. Within the Charge Nurse role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day work of the nursing team.

The in-patient areas work over 24 hours, 7 days per week, and there will be a requirement to rotate onto night duty when required and in line with the shift pattern of the area. We have recently changed to a condensed shift pattern working 11.5-hour shifts over a shorter working week.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN3 or Sub-part 2: RN4 of the UK NMC Register.
