About the Role
Traid is seeking a motivated Charity Sales Assistant who is passionate about retail, fashion, and working within the charity sector. In this role, you’ll assist with the daily operations of the shop, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, pricing, merchandising, and managing stock.
Our Clapham shop is a bustling, high-volume environment, requiring energetic and dynamic team members to maintain a well-stocked and organised shop floor. Behind the scenes, store teams handle large deliveries – hanging, tagging, and pricing clothes before they hit the retail floor.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Traid customers with excellent service and the best in-store experience
- Oversee the smooth operational running of the shop daily
- Process weekly deliveries and ensure the shop floor remains fully stocked
- Serve as the cashier, including balancing the till at the end of each day
- Implement and manage Gift Aid donations for charitable impact
- Act as store representative when the Shop Manager is unavailable
- Act as an ambassador for Traid, representing our values in engagement with customers and the local community
Ideal Candidate
Must be a passionate advocate for second-hand fashion with:
- A strong enthusiasm for sustainable clothing, knowledge of brands, and an eye for value
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- The stamina to work efficiently in our high-pressure retail setting
- Previous employment experience (ideal) with a track record of accuracy and reliability
- Strong customer service skills and clear, effective communication
- A proactive mindset, with initiative and creative problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to flex working hours as required by the business
