About The Role
This Charity Solicitor role, based in Oxford, is with a Legal 500 firm. The position involves advising charities and not-for-profit organisations on formation, registration, governance, and regulatory compliance. You will handle mergers, asset transfers, closures, and de-registrations, while liaising with the Charity Commission. Drafting and reviewing constitutions and governance documents is a key responsibility. The role requires over five years’ PQE.
- Salary ranges from £60,000 to £85,000, dependent on experience.

Overview
You will advise clients on charity formation and registration, trustee duties, governance, regulatory compliance, charity mergers, asset transfers, charity closures and de-registrations, while liaising with the Charity Commission on a variety of matters. Your role will also involve preparing and reviewing constitutions, governance documents and internal policies to ensure clients remain compliant with the latest legal and regulatory requirements.
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with a minimum of 5 years' PQE and proven experience advising charities on governance, administration and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships while delivering an exceptional standard of service. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives, attend networking events and help further enhance the firm's well-established reputation within the charity sector.
