We are seeking a talented and experienced Architectural Technologist to join KK’s Bristol office. With a commitment to excellence and sustainability, KK is a collaborative environment where creativity and expertise merge to shape the future of design!
As we’re expanding our Living and Community team in Bristol, we have a requirement for an Architectural Technologist with a broad sector experience and dedicated to producing high quality detailed design across a range of housing projects. Working across public and private sector clients, you will be exposed to a variety of schemes from small residential developments to large multi-housing projects and community schemes.

Job Description
Team Role
- Work closely with fellow professionals such as Architects and Design Teams to develop excellent detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
- Collaborate in the preparation of Planning applications, Building Regulation submissions, and other project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and liaise with contractors, consultants and clients to ensure a smooth process.
- Use your technical knowledge to develop the innovative and sustainable design solutions on a variety of projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and new technology to enhance your project outcomes.
Individual Duties
- Develop and produce accurate detailed design and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with other disciplines in-house to translate design concepts into co-ordinated construction information.
- Coordinate project activities, liaising with stakeholders to ensure a seamless project execution.
- Regular site visits to monitor progression and address any technical issues that may arise.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency using Revit, with the ability to manage and develop project models and templates.
- Produce Schedules of Works / Prelims – NBS Specifications.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership of projects, with the ability to run schemes independently where required.
- Foster a multi-disciplinary approach to project development.

Skills And Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Technology.
- Ideally MCIAT – desirable but not essential.
- Strong experience in the UK residential sector, including developer-led and housebuilder projects.
- Able to use Revit while having some knowledge of Vectorworks would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, construction methods and detailing.
- Experience of running projects and co-ordinating teams, including client and contractor liaison.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Familiarity of JCT / NEC Contracts is beneficial.
Knowledge of
- MS 365 and Teams.
- Revit.
- Vectorworks.
- Excellent IT literacy.
