Role Description
This full-time on-site role is for a Chartered Building Surveyor supporting commercial clients across a variety of property types. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Undertaking building inspections and condition surveys
- Preparing technical reports
- Managing dilapidations and project management

The Chartered Building Surveyor will:

- Collaborate closely with project managers and clients
- Provide clear professional advice
- Help ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards
The role requires:
- Regular site visits
- Stakeholder communication
- Accurate documentation of all survey and project activities
Qualifications
- Strong professional capability in Building Surveying, with experience across commercial property sectors.
- Proficiency in conducting Condition Surveys and producing clear, detailed technical reports.
- Experience in Feasibility Studies, including options appraisals for refurbishment, redevelopment, and asset improvement.
- Practical knowledge of Contract Management, including administration of building contracts and coordination with project teams.
- Expertise in Dilapidations, including assessing liability, preparing schedules, and negotiating settlements.
- Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a closely related discipline.
- Good understanding of relevant building regulations, health and safety requirements, and best practice standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced commercial environment.
