Your new company

My client manages publicly owned buildings across Nottinghamshire, including offices, schools, commercial buildings and more. The organisation has teams across the estates, QS, PM, architecture and Building surveying sectors, specialising in all that they do. Operating within a dynamic and modern office space, my client are forward thinking in all that they do.

Your new role

You will work as a Building Surveyor, supporting the effective management of the organisation's property portfolio, including vacant buildings and land, ensuring assets are maintained, secured, compliant, and aligned with wider corporate and asset management strategies. Working closely with Asset Managers, Surveyors, and key stakeholders, you will help identify opportunities to optimise asset performance, reduce operational risk and liabilities, and support informed property and investment decisions. You will provide professional advice on building condition, statutory compliance, planned maintenance, health and safety, and lifecycle asset management. The role will involve commissioning and overseeing planned and reactive maintenance works, refurbishment projects, and property improvement programmes, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards. You will also contribute to long-term asset planning, supporting the development and implementation of investment strategies that maximise value across the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
